The First Congress of the World Organization of Writers "WOW"

The idea of creating a World Organization of Writers (WOW) was put forward at the literary forum "Creating the image of the future Man and the man of the Future in literature" within the framework of the Eurasian Literary Festival lifft-2019 in the Republic of Azerbaijan, where writers from 52 countries gathered.
On February 1, 2023, in Cairo, writers from 18 countries of the world developed and signed a memorandum of intent on the creation of a World Organization of Writers.
On December 25 of the same year, the World Organization of Writers was officially registered. The founders were the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, poet Alexandra Ochirova, Chairman of the Literary Council of ANE, poet Margarita Al
On April 4, 2024, the First Congress of the World Organization of Writers "We are people of the same planet" began in Abuja, Nigeria. Writers from 88 countries of the world were invited to the events! Applications for participation in the competition for the “WOW” and “WOW-LiftA” awards were submitted by 300 authors!
The first Congress of the World Organization of Writers was opened:
- The President of the World Organization of Writers (WOW), Ms. Margarita Al,
- His Excellency Mohammed Idris Malagi, Minister of Information and National Orientation of Nigeria,
- Representative of Her Excellency Lola Ade John, Minister of Tourism of Nigeria,
- Ex-Minister of Information and Culture Mr. Alhaji Lai Mohammed,
- John Rusimbi, President of the Pan-African Writers Association (PAWA),
- General Secretary of the Pan-African Writers Association (PAWA), Wale Okediran,
- President of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) Usman Oladipo Akanbi.
The opening was attended by officials and famous people of the city of Abuja, university professors. Writers from 10 countries of the world. Writers of Nigeria.
One of the most important speeches was the welcoming speech to the audience by the President of the World Organization of Writers (WOW), Mrs. Margarita Al. Messrs. Wale Okediran, Usman Oladipo Akanbi and Denja Abdullahi made a great personal contribution to the events. The World Organization of Writers thanks them and all their friends for their kindness and support.
The most colorful part of the event was the transfer of the WOW flag from Egypt, Laureate Ashraf Dali - Nigeria, Laureate Vale Okediran.
The dance group performed a composition in national traditions.
In parallel, the opening of the performance exhibition of the poet and artist's book "Drawing a Nigerian Book" took place.
